“I am a 54 year old retired male police officer.
12 months ago I was diagnosed with severe arthritis in my left and right knees respectively. The arthritis, I was informed by a physiotherapist, was due to my active sporty lifestyle.
My condition was having a negative impact on my life. I was in constant pain was unable to drive long distances and the pain at night was affecting my ability to sleep. The physio was only able to offer advice on pain management and guidance on some exercises.
In desperation a relative recommended Megan.
Following an assessment Megan began treating me weekly. This was permissible during the pandemic as it was described by my GP as a medical intervention.
Meg has quite simply given me my life back. Her intensive massage and acupuncture treatment has been solely responsible for the improvement in not only my physical but also my mental wellbeing .
And to think I was very sceptical and turned to sports therapy as a last resort!!
Meg is incredibly knowledgeable on her subject and has a professional and infectious desire to do the right thing regardless as to how challenging achieving a positive outcome may seem. Our sessions are at times painful but thoroughly enjoyable as Meg feeds my desire for information on my condition. She expertly explains how the massage and acupuncture works jointly on my muscles and blood flow in the knees mitigating the severe pain I was experiencing.
Critically I am now able to enjoy walking on Dartmoor cycling and driving even to Yorkshire to visit my granddaughter.
I have been told I require full knee replacement surgery on both knees but the physio has made it clear that they would prefer to operate when I am closer to 60!
I believe with Megs help and assistance I will be able to live a positive and active life until the inevitable knee surgery.
Meg you are a miracle worker . Thankyou from an initial unbeliever but now a total convert.”
